"What is most striking is the way Third World effortlessly manage to blend reggae with funk to produce something quite remarkable and unique. The quality of the musicianship is a joy to behold and that vital element is supplemented by soulful – verging on gospel at times – harmonies and a powerful set of lyrics". -Everythingsgonegreen

" institution that produces and performs music that is cutting edge, positive, progressive and internationally relevant." -The Daily Observer

Celebrating 45 years, THIRD WORLD is one of the longest-lived Reggae bands of all time, and one of Jamaica's most consistently popular crossover acts among international audiences. Mixing elements of R&B, funk, pop, and rock, and dancehall, Third World’s style has been described as "reggae-fusion".

Third World received numerous awards, including an award in 2009 from Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), the 1986 “United Nations Peace Medal,” 1992 and 1996 Jamaica Music Industry Awards for Best Show Band and have worked and collaborated with top acts such as The Jackson Five, Bob Marley and The Wailers and Stevie Wonder.

With 10 Grammy nominations and catalogue of charted smash hits including "Try Jah Love" (co-written with Stevie Wonder) and a rendition ofthe O'Jays' "Now That We Found Love", Third World is more than just one of the top Reggae bands of all time, it is an institution.

Third World will perform with special guest opener, The Alchemystics.

The Alchemystics play a unique blend of roots music, effortlessly combining reggae, hip-hop, dub & soul music. Performances are well-polished, spellbinding celebrations of rhythm & song. Their music crosses boundaries and welcomes all to the experience.
